After last week's nod to Borges, tonight we're getting Baum on
FlashForward. This episode references the yellow brick road of Oz, but
it looks as though our characters have already trodden through it. On
"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," Janis (Christine Woods) continues to fool
the FBI into thinking she's on their side. The mole is still in the
building, using Mark Benford's (Joseph Fiennes) trust against him. We're
expecting disastrous consequences here, even though we're really hoping
they reveal the identity of her employer soon.

While Demetri's (John Cho) life may have been spared thanks to the
quick actions of his partner last week, there's a lot more going on in
FlashForward. Demetri's possible demise was just a piece of it. After
receiving help from Wedeck (Courtney B. Vance), Aaron (Brian F. O'Byrne)
presses on with his mission to find his daughter. However, getting to
her proves to be more difficult and risky than he anticipated. Also,
Olivia (Sonya Walger) receives disturbing news by Gabriel (James
Callis), who has been subjected to numerous flashforwards.

The other night's episode of FlashForward was Demetri-centric, because John
Cho tries hard to steal the show even while he's out missing, or facing
his doom. On "The Garden of Forking Paths," our FBI team searches for
their colleague, who is in extreme danger. He's practically reliving a
scene from the Saw franchise thanks to our resident villain. But
Mark (Joseph Fiennes) is already on the case. If we recall, he knows
his way around missing people; he found Lloyd Simcoe a while back. The
guy's just lucky like that. If only his luck got Dyson Frost behind
bars.
While the FBI team prepare themselves for a showdown,
Demetri gets to know his captor. Frost is holding him in a room with
obscure and intersecting scribbles on the walls, which he calls his very
own "Garden of Forking Paths." They all point to flashes of the future,
the most important being the March 15 one, since it's happening at that
very moment. To Read More Click

On this week's episode, Mark races against the clock to save Demetri. First,
the main title features a teaser of Mark Bedford running frantically
down a corridor lined with pipes.
We open with Demetri in a
room, staring down the barrel of a gun, with the laser sight pointed
square at his chest. He is strapped to a chair, lined with wires, all
connected to the gun. Behind him is a giant map of lines and dashes,
pointing in different directions to different dates and people, with
some lines connecting back to others. Paths branch off everywhere. We
see a photo of Demetri, which reads "March 15, 2010 - Demetri Dies" The
date is then shown as March 15, 2010. Cut to the bureau where
Charlie is being questioned by Mark and Janis about the man who
approached her at the carnival. This man, of course, is Dyson Frost.
Charlie sees flashes of what he looks like, but can't be specific.
Stanford suggests Charlie close her eyes since it could help her
remember more. She remembers that Frost knew her name, but she didn't
know who he was. In her flashback, Frost tells Charlie he works with her
father, and talks to her about several Dr. Seuss stories, specifically
his favorite, "1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish." Frost tells her to do
something for him, and hands her a photo to give to her father.
Mark
looks at the photo, a print of two men on rocks. He reads the back. It
says if they want Demetri back alive, to be at the main concourse of
Union Station at noon on March 15, 2010. To Read More Click

Death is on the horizon on FlashForward, with a missing Demetri (John
Cho) highlighting tonight's episode. On "The Garden of Forking Paths," a
nod to Jorge Luis Borges' short story, the gang searches for their lost
comrade. But we're pretty sure where he is and what he's up to. Well,
if he's still alive. On the sneak peeks below, he's already
facing enough danger as it is. Will Mark (Joseph Fiennes) be able to
save him in time?

It's all falling into place. We'll be getting a healthy
dose of the future when FlashForward's next episode, "The Garden of
Forking Paths" airs. It's set on March 15 (the Ides of March), and, as
any follower of the show knows, that's the day that Demetri Noh (John
Cho) is supposed to die. It's also the day on which blackout mastermind
Dyson Frost has predicted his death. Both will be trying to prevent
their futures from happening. Can they succeed? According to these
promo pictures (and this press release), things are going to be looking
pretty tough for Demetri. To Read More Click Here. |

It's been a rough road lately for FlashForward's characters. Mark
(Joseph Fiennes) has officially moved out of the family home, Demetri
(John Cho) is getting closer to solving his supposed murder, and
Aaron's (Brian F. O'Byrne) daughter has been captured. But one of the
series' darkest moments came in the final minutes of last week's
episode, when it was revealed that baby-crazy agent Janis Hawk is the
mole leaking information about the Mosaic task force's investigation.
How did this happen? How does this affect her flash-forward? And above
all else, why, Janis, why? Christine Woods, the actress who plays the
Mosaic team's newest threat, spoke with us about all that and more. To Read More Click Here. |

After Janis' big reveal at the end of last week's episode (you know,
where she, like, told Simon that she is a mole), this episode of
FlashForward shows her first day at the bureau two years before the
blackout. Considering she's with the late Agent Gough, Marcie and the
(maybe) soon-to-be-dead Demetri, this is a very unlucky graduating
class, no? Cut back to present day and the agency's
interrogation of Marcie. In the tapes, they clearly mark the date as
March 12, which means its only three days before Demetri's supposed
death. Marcie and Janis exchange glances, but it's still hard to tell
if Marcie knows about Janis' double life. As a mole, Marcie says she
would package all the info the Mosaic investigation found every week
and leave it at a dead drop. She says she first became a mole after
being approached by a man who asked if she wanted to be apart of
something big three months before the blackout. To Read More Click Here. |

All you sci-fi television fans can sleep just a little bit easier at
night. Why? Because chances are actually looking good for a FlashForward
season two. I know you're all asking What? But
FlashForward's been losing viewers like crazy! Last week's episode only
got 5.42 million viewers!
And I know what you're saying. As
much as I love ABC Thursday's sci-fi series, I was really skeptical of
the series coming back for another year, simply because it was doing so
poorly with American audiences. And I still am skeptical, to a certain
degree. But Kristin dos Santos of E! Online is telling me to worry less
for Mark Benford and his pals. To Read More Click
