"FlashForward" will finally reach the D-Day, April 29, 2010. While everyone waits to see if their flashforward visions come true, Mark uncovers the date of the next blackout, and Simon, with Demetri, attempts to stop it from happening by breaking into the NLAP mainframe.
The season finale, called "Future Shock", will also be the end of the series because ABC decided not to continue the sci-fi due to low rating. It's unknown whether the May 27 episode will provide answer to the show's mystery or not because the network laid the verdict after the episode went into production.
However, Jack Davenport who plays Lloyd Simcoe said that it would indeed end in a high note. "Do I think the story could have gone further? Sure. No-one intends to do [just] one season - especially not with a grand concepty show like this. I don't think it will be unsatisfying, but it will not answer all the questions. The producers had to be mindful that they may only get one season, so there are some satisfying wrap-ups," he said. Source & Preview |

It's only a matter of time before another blackout occurs and Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) knows it. He feels an enormous responsibility for finding out when the next event will happen so he puts some pressure on Hellinger (Neil Jackson) in hopes of getting an answer out of him. Meanwhile, Aaron (Brian F. O'Byrne) learns more about why Jericho wanted his daughter and Demetri (John Cho) is torn between helping Janis (Christine Woods) and Simon (Dominic Monaghan) break into NLAP or turning Simon in. ABC has given up on "FlashForward" before the show gets to air its
first season finale. Nevertheless the show will continue airing the last
episode that leads to the finale on May 27. In "Countdown", which airs
May 20, everybody who have seen their future are dreading at the thought
of whether the vision will come true or not. Mark continues
his interrogation of Hellinger in a desperate attempt to find out when
the next blackout will occur; Demetri must choose between helping Janis
and Simon break into NLAP to stop the blackout from occurring, or
turning the fugitive Simon in to the FBI.
Lloyd finds the
common denominator that can help him solve the complex equation he was
working on in his flashforward; while Tracy fights for her life, Aaron
discovers why Jericho was after her; and Nicole wrestles over her strong
feelings for Bryce and what would happen if she told him she knew the
whereabouts of Keiko. "FlashForward" is not the only show
canceled by the Alphabet. "Romantically Challenged", "Scrubs" and
"Better Off Ted" are all axed from the Fall line-up, giving the chance
to other series to fill the schedule. Fellow sci-fi series "V"
meanwhile, gets a second season.

I was happy to find out that Simon (Dominic Monaghan) had gone
"underground" with the QED ring and not decided to turn it over to the
evil powers-that-be, but his hidden status didn't last very long and
within the first few minutes of "The Negotiation" he's tracked down and
caught. Of course, he gets caught in the most enrapturing way possible;
held at bay by a sextress extraordinaire. I really hope they keep Simon
stubborn. He's at his absolute best when threats just roll off him and I
don't think I'd buy him finally cooperating with Hellinger unless he
was trying to double cross him. To Read More Click Here. |

It's almost prophecy fulfillment hour on FlashForward, unless of
course our lead with a hero complex, Mark Benford, puts a stop to it.
Tonight, on "The Negotiation," we go back to April 28 on the day before
the visions supposedly materialize. And as we expect, everyone's on the
edge. "The Negotiation" finds Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes)
doing whatever it takes to protect Gabriel (guest star James Callis). We
all know he's too important to lose, since he's the link between Dyson
Frost and the Global Blackout.
As everyone waits for their
flashforwards to come true, Mark has to stay behind and keep Gabriel
away from harm. Unfortunately, that might be more difficult than he
thought. To Read More Click

With only a day left before the blackout, everyone is on pins and
needles, in eager anticipation for what's to come. Meanwhile, Mark
Benford (Joseph Fiennes) meets with Gabriel (James Callis) and promises
to do everything he can to protect him. Meanwhile, Janis
(Christine Woods) is encouraged to kill one of her fellow agents as
Aaron (Brian F. O'Byrne) continues to put his life in danger as he
locates his daughter's captors.

Flashforward
Cancelled low marks - the ABC has decided to withdraw, and serial
Flash forward now to end, whereas the low TV reviews. So do not expect a second season of the TV series. Flashforward
decreased from 12.47 to 4.77 million viewers in September, the latest
episode.Despite the fact that Brown and the feedback from viewers, the
show's ratings dropped after a few episodes are broadcast on
television. If you will remember, the show broadcast by ABC to replace
"Lost," but not even close to be the right replacement for lost, after
declining ratings and shrinking audiences this season.

One of FlashForward's biggest mysteries is whether or not the titular flashforwards will come true. That's been one of the big debates of the series, and its starting to seem that the flashforwards are only a possible future, and won't necessarily come true. Well, here are two flashforwards that will most definitely be coming true: Bryce and Keiko will be meeting up in the season (and quite possibly series) finale of flashforward, entitled "Future Shock." And if there was any debate on whether or not their relationship would stay platonic after Bryce began developing a relationship with Nicole, let that debate be silenced; Keiko and Bryce will share a kiss in the restaurant in which they meet. Now, it may just be me, but this seems awfully shallow of Bryce, who had apparently made a grand gesture of "screw the future" in the most recent episode, "Course Correction." And even if he and Nicole go through a breakup, wouldn't Bryce at least remember that Nicole's flashforward showed her drowning at the exact same time as he was meeting Keiko? Wouldn't he appear to be even the least bit concerned for his friend? To Read More Click Here. |

Tonight's episode was written by Robert J. Sawyer, the author of the
book 'FlashForward,' which this series is loosely based on. He's been a
story consultant on each episode, but this was his first time taking
the reins and steering the ship himself. He chose a pretty
important episode to do so, in that it touched on elements leading all
the way back to the beginning of the series. There was a pretty
extensive use of flashbacks, to make sure we were keeping things
straight. They even did flashbacks of events that had just happened
earlier in the episode. It worked, surprisingly enough, in keeping
things moving forward.
Other than the escapades of Aaron the
mercenary, we got a lot of progress in putting the pieces together.
Simon's character got perhaps even more complex, and even Al Gough's
valiant sacrifice came back into play. Can you cheat the destiny ahead
of you, or will fate find a way of meeting you anyway. When did this
turn into 'Final Destination'? This week it was all about
cheating death. At first, those who'd survived past their foreseen
expiration dates, the "Blue Hand Club," were being taken out by one of
their own, Slingerland. That's one way for the universe to course
correct. Or actually, it's unclear if that is a true course correction.
It could just as easily be a lunatic who thinks this is what he has to
do.

Did you miss last week's rather excellent episode of FlashForward,
"The Garden of Forking Paths?" If so, read a recap here. This
week's episode begins with Janis, speaking in a voiceover over a scene
of FBI agents running the six-mile obstacle course "Yellow Brick Road,"
describing how she joined the FBI. She never intended to join the FBI;
she was a lawyer who hated her life. She wanted to do something
patriotic. A friend, Demetri, got her to apply to eh Bureau, and she
loved every second of it. She was not doing something that mattered.
It is revealed that Janis is speaking two years before the blackout, to a
woman named Leda, a headhunter. Janis tells her that she's not looking
to quit the FBI, which she just joined. Leda tells her that she has an
opportunity for Janis, and doesn't want her to quit. Rather, Leda's
offer would be more like multitasking.
