Younger brother of Ralph Fiennes, Joseph got his start in the London theatre and spent two seasons in the Royal Shakespeare Company, which may have contributed to his being cast in two Elizabethan era period pieces released in 1998, Elizabeth and Shakespeare in Love. The latter won best picture but, unfortunately, Joseph recieved no best actor nomination. Joseph plays FBI agent Mark Benford in FlashForward, a far cry from the Elizabethan roles that made him famous.
