A couple of weeks ago we reported on a worldwide protest organized by fans of the canceled show Flash Forward. The protest had been staged to bring attention to the number of fans out there who want a second season of the show in order to tie up all the loose ends left behind. Well, as has been proved time and time again, determined fans can become well organized and it seems that the events on June 10th was only the start.

Before ratings tanked, FlashForward had planned to follow through on its pilot prophecy of killing off FBI agent Demetri Noh (John Cho), reveals Gabrielle Union, who played Demetri's fiance, attorney Zoey Andata. "Then I was supposed to avenge his death in Season 2 by representing defendants against the FBI whom I blamed for his death," Union says. But John's popularity, fueled by the success of his role as Sulu in the big-screen Star Trek, led the writers to alter his fate, thus limiting Zoey's storyline to the point that she wasn't even included in the series finale.
"Certain storylines got shortchanged," shrugs Union, who blames the show's cancellation on the difficulty of trying "to sell quantum physics when you have the Olympics going on."

A fictional global blackout changed many people's fates on FlashForward, and now fans of the ABC drama are hoping a series of blackouts will help change the canceled show's fate as well. Weeks after ABC failed to renew the ratings-challenged freshman drama, fans are organizing massive staged blackouts to take place in front of ABC offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and several other major cities on June 10.
"On October 6, 2009, the whole world blacked out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, at the start of what promised to be ABC's new hit show, FlashForward," the "Save FlashForward" website says. "On June 10th, there will be another blackout, this time to change fate."
In addition to the staged blackouts, fans have begun sending calendars with the date April 29th circled (the date of the flash-forwards and of the second global blackout), friendship bracelets like the one Charlie gave her father, Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes), and letters to ABC President Stephen McPherson. The staged blackouts and mailings mirror previous fan efforts to save cult series. In 2008, Jericho fans sent peanuts CBS executives, persuading them to give the show a short second season. Last year, Chuck viewers locked in a Season 3 renewal by flocking to series advertiser Subway as part of the "Finale and a Footlong" campaign.

ven though FlashForward is no longer in Joseph Fiennes' future, the actor still has a trick up his sleeve - as Merlin. According to Variety, the 40-year-old star will be portraying the legendary wizard on a new drama series known as Camelot. Quiz: How Much Do You Know About Mark Benford? Joining him on the show is French actress Eva Green, known for her portrayal in the James Bond film Casino Royale. She will be portraying the sorceress Morgana, which is her first television role. Camelot will premiere on the Starz network, with filming beginning later this month in Ireland. Joining the two leads on the show are Jamie Campbell Bower and Tamsin Egerton, playing Arthur and Guinevere. It's obvious that Camelot is no FlashForward, but it's an interesting career move for Joseph Fiennes nevertheless. He's already done action and suspense with the ABC series, but is best known for his more dramatic roles. He simply maintains the diversity in the parts he chooses, from those in Shakespeare in Love to Enemy at the Gates. To Read More Click Here. |

If you're like me, you really enjoyed FlashForward. The show took a while to get its legs, but once it did, it was fantastic. The entire second half of the season was absolutely fantastic, and I was disappointed when it was cancelled. Though it got to finish out its first season, the finale left me wanting more - after all, it ended on the cliffhanger of another flashforward. Fans were also left wondering about Mark Benford's survival after a giant explosion ripped through the FBI office just moments after everyone woke up from the flashforward. Mark didn't seem to have much of a chance, but knowing FlashForward, he probably parachuted out or something. To Read More Click Here. |

When ABC first launched FlashForward, the network and producers boasted of having a five-season story arc for the drama about life after an international black-out. Apparently, the plan laid out by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) and Brannon Braga (24) was so compelling, it ignited a network bidding war among the nets before ABC snatched the project. 'These high-concept shows can be fantastic, but there are a lot of pitfalls, ' ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told EW back in September. 'The fact that they had done their homework made all the difference.'Â Did it? Tonight, ABC will air the drama's 22nd and final episode of FlashForward, because the network decided against ordering a second season. After a respectable debut last fall - it averaged 12.5 million viewers - ratings plummeted throughout the season. (It didn't help that the show, like V, went on hiatus over the winter.) Part one of the FlashForward finale on May 20 only averaged 5.3 million - down 28 percent from its season average (7.4 million), so it's not likely that tonight's Part 2 will do any better. Suddenly, all that talk about a five-year plan didn't mean a thing if no one showed up to watch. To Read More Click Here. |

There are 78 minutes left until 10:00 p.m. Olivia and Charlie walk on the beach as fireworks go off in the distance by the Santa Monica pier. Nicole sits in her apartment and stares at Bryce's sketch of Keiko. She leaves. Keiko is in the airport with her mother, preparing to leave, even though she wants to stay. Bryce arrives at the detention facility to see Keiko and finds out she was released. He explains to the guard that he saw Keiko in his flash-forward, and begs her for information. The guard says that in her flash-forward, she had $100 in her pocket and couldn't figure out where it came from. Bryce reaches for his wallet.
In Afghanistan, Aaron cries over Tracy, and tells Khamir that they both saw her alive in their flash-forwards. Khamir checks Tracy and finds a very faint pulse. Aaron begs Tracy to stay strong and stay with him. He tells her they will wind up where they are supposed to be.

Simon replies thathe wants revenge against the conspiracy of which he was a part. He figures that if he can get into NLAP and take a look at the accelerator, he can determine the flaw in the mainframe that can prevent a second blackout. Janis is hesitant, so Simon promises that if she can get him into NLAP, he will turn himself in afterwords. Meanwhile, at the FBI, Mark and Demetri are eating breakfast. Mark gives Demetri a CD withfifteen covers of "Islands in the Stream," and tells Demetri that he should get on the plane with Zoeytoday, and fly to Hawaii. Demetri protests that today is the flash forward day and that he needs to be there, but Mark insists. Is Demetri actually getting cold feet? Demetri says its not cold feet, so Mark, not necessarily believing his partner, tells him that although their relationship is what it is today, marrying Olivia was the best thing that ever happened to him. Cut to Lloyd calling Olivia and saying that he wants them to be together tonight. Olivia tells Lloyd that Charlie is having a hard time withher dream and the prospect that Mark might be killed, so she's not sure getting together is the best idea.

With FlashForward's expected cancellation, the fans hoped that the series would wrap up smoothly this Thursday. Unfortunately, that won't be the case. There will be questions left unanswered, we're sure, but do they have to be so many?
Actress Sonya Walger told E! Online that she has good and bad news regarding the series finale. These last two episodes leading to the fulfillment of FlashForward will certainly be great, but - yes, there's a but.
"There's some closure to it, but there's an awful lot left unexplained," Walger said. She added that in the final episode, most of the mysteries in the pilot will get closure. As for the complete resolution? Nope.
Look at it this way, at least FlashForward will keep its audiences thinking. That's always been one of the best things about this show anyway.
